Joey Perkins

Joe graduated from Curtin university with a Bachelor of Science (Occupational Therapy) (Honours) in early 2023.Since graduating, he has worked in hand therapy in WA for the past three years and recently moved to the Sunshine Coast to pursue his hand therapy passion. Joe is a member of the Australian Hand Therapy Association (AHTA) and engages regularly in hand therapy professional development as he works towards becoming an Accredited Hand Therapist (AHT). He has completed the Noi Group's "Explain Pain" course in June 2023, and regularly completes courses held by the AHTA including Closed Trauma and Open Trauma courses. Joe is particularly interested in sporting injuries of thumb and digits including fracture, and ligamentous and tendinous injuries. He enjoys spending his spare time playing footy, swimming and surfing.
