Katie recently attended a dynamic taping workshop in Brisbane. Dynamic tape is a four way stretch tape that can be applied over joints but doesn’t impede the movement of the joint. Dynamic tape is used to facilitate, inhibit and offload tissue as movement occurs.
At Sunshine Coast Hand Therapy we use dynamic tape on injured structures that do not need immobilisation, but rather support as they move through range. Dynamic tape comes in a beige and black tattoo design and is often found on elite sports players.
